Service Overview:

A transformer is a static electrical device that transfers electrical energy between circuits through electromagnetic induction while changing voltage and current levels. Transformers step voltage up for transmission to reduce current and losses, and step it down to make electricity suitable for distribution and end-use equipment.

Nissim Grid delivers the wider electrical infrastructure around power conversion: substations, switchgear, ring main units, protection systems, earthing and MV/LV distribution networks.

What's Included in Power Infrastructure:

Distribution transformers for residential areas, commercial buildings, rural electrification, industrial distribution and mini-grids; dry-type transformers for buildings, indoor substations and commercial facilities; oil-filled transformers with oil maintenance, leak inspection, temperature monitoring, protection and earthing.

Instrument transformers for measurement and protection: current transformers (CT), voltage transformers (VT), potential transformers (PT) and capacitor voltage transformers (CVT).

Substations with transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, disconnectors, busbars, CTs, VTs/CVTs, protection relays, surge arresters, earthing systems, control panels and metering.

Switchgear and ring main units (RMU) for network switching, feeder isolation, fault protection and sectionalization; circuit breakers including MCB, MCCB, ACB, VCB and SF6 types.

Protection systems: overcurrent, short circuit, earth fault, differential, overvoltage, undervoltage, overfrequency, underfrequency, reverse power, loss of phase and thermal overload, plus earthing, lightning protection and surge protection devices (SPDs).

Testing and Commissioning:

Transformer works are verified through insulation resistance, winding resistance, turns-ratio and oil testing where applicable, protection testing and earthing tests.

Distribution works are verified through continuity, insulation, relay, breaker, metering and protection coordination tests.
